Beyond the Guidelines

Translating ADHD evidence, pharmacology, psychiatry, and real-world general practice into structured clinical decision-making.

Masked Presentations

Recognising the complex, high-functioning, emotionally masked, and comorbid adult ADHD presentations most commonly missed in practice.

Clinical Frameworks

Structured approaches to assessment, differential diagnosis, documentation, risk screening, and long-term management in modern general practice.

Built for the Reality of Modern General Practice

Adult ADHD is increasingly being managed in Australian general practice - yet many clinicians still feel caught between evolving guidelines, diagnostic complexity, comorbidity, prescribing concerns, time pressure, and uncertainty around assessment and documentation. ADHD Unmasked was developed to bridge the gap between published ADHD guidance and the realities of modern clinical practice. The course focuses on the adult ADHD presentations most commonly missed or oversimplified in consulting rooms - including high-functioning adults, emotionally masked presentations, trauma overlap, sleep disorders, hormonal influences, substance use, complex comorbidity, and differential diagnosis. Rather than relying on symptom checklists alone, ADHD Unmasked is built around the Kolesky-ADHD-EFA®, a structured assessment instrument developed for Australian general practice, covering assessment, formulation, risk screening, collateral integration, documentation, and long-term management. Built specifically for Australian GPs, the course is practical, clinically grounded, and designed for immediate use in real consultations.

Dr Ananta Kolesky

Dr Ananta Kolesky is an Australian Specialist GP with more than 25 years of experience across General Practice, Rural Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Integrative Medicine. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively with complex and overlapping presentations that do not fit neatly into textbook medicine - including the interaction between psychological, hormonal, metabolic, sleep, neurodevelopmental, and chronic health conditions commonly encountered in modern General Practice. ADHD Unmasked was developed in response to the growing role of Australian GPs in adult ADHD assessment and management, and the increasing need for practical, structured, and clinically defensible consulting-room frameworks. Rather than focusing solely on diagnostic criteria, Dr Kolesky’s approach emphasises clinical nuance, differential diagnosis, comorbidity, functional impairment, documentation, and real-world implementation within the time and complexity constraints of everyday General Practice. Dr Kolesky is also the founder of Kolesky Medical Education (KME), created to bridge the gap between published medical guidance and practical consulting-room application for everyday clinicians.
